The mediums through which businesses communicate are becoming more varied, streamlined and accessible. But whilst they continue to develop, communications between individuals and teams can still deteriorate or break down completely, at a more human, face to face level.
For two parties to communicate and feel 'in tune' they have to feel comfortable with the communications process and be able to make the right connections at several levels - connections which most people find easy to make when dealing with good friends. Perceptions, attitudes and assumptions all have a part to play, as do choice of language, an appropriate tone of voice and congruent body language.
This workshop helps participants to identify their own preferred communication style and gain insight into the styles used by others. Making expert use of transactional analysis and assertiveness theory, participants are also encouraged to become aware of their natural response in a given situation - to identify whether or not it is beneficial - and to compare it with alternative responses. As a result of this enhanced awareness and communications coaching they are able to identify clear strategies, through which they can adjust their style and proactively build powerful, forward looking, adult relationships.
